On a balmy August day in Erie, Co at the venerable Colorado National Golf Club, the accomplished recruiters of Advanced Medical hit the links.  The successful day of golf was sponsored by the COPTA and benefitted the organization in raising funds to support local chapters with advanced practice information and professional resources.

The COPTA was founded in 1945 and currently boasts over 1400 PT’s and PTA’s in its membership.  The organization is an offshoot of the APTA and divides itself into 4 districts in Colorado.  These districts are the West Slope, Northeast, Southeast, and Mile High.  The chapter office is located in Centennial, Co. Outgoing APTA president Scott Ward was on hand for the festivities and regaled the groups with the latest tales from Washington.  Scott has led the APTA to unprecedented heights and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

As for the results, 15 teams competed and the 2 Advanced Medical foursomes finished with respectable below-par rounds of 67 and 71.  Our group found the company of therapists and event officials to be delightful company, and the sunny day brought smiles all around.  Advanced Medical is proud to support the COPTA and its mission.  As a therapy-only company we make it a priority to champion the industry causes and stay informed on legislative issues that affect us all.  We sincerely thank the COPTA for having us and look forward to future outing and events… especially if they involve golf!
